Welcome to Margate

Margate boasts a huge selection of self catering holiday accommodation. Margate is a very popular resort town that has been a major draw card to the South Coast for many decades. It boasts great beaches, an Olympic size swimming pool, many restaurants and pubs and plenty of night-life. The main beach has an African craft market. The vendors will love to show you their range of carvings, curios and other interesting items. In case you need more information on what to do and where to go, the main beach has an information kiosk.

Activities include the annual Bike Fest in April each year and attracts over 20000 motorbikes. The Bike Fest culminates with a mass ride along marine drive from Shelly Beach to Port Shepstone and then onto Margate. The Margate Mardi Gras in the centre of Margate is held on Wednesday nights during peak season and features live music, dancing and many interesting stalls. Come join in the fun.
